Add checkbox as a field type to make app more interactive

Hi DashDash Team,

what do you think about adding a checkbox as a datatype? This could be really useful to (if it is set to true) send emails, look up email addresses etc. I am thinking of a similar implementation as in Google Sheets and Airtable.

Hi Marc,

Thank you for the suggestion. Coincidently, I’m happy to say that we’ve also been thinking about adding interactive elements to dashdash (checkboxes among those) and have started working on it. I’ll keep you posted in the coming weeks once we have news.

Hi @marc ,

Happy to let you know that you can now use checkboxes (and buttons) in any dashdash app.

You format any cell into a checkbox or a button in the format bar :heavy_check_mark:
